Favorite Lip Products

Over the last three to four months, ever since I purchased a lip stain from Revlon, I have been obsessed with lip products. I used to only wear a lip balm or lip gloss on my lips. Over where I live (borderline of Chicago/Indiana), it's rare to see girls with lip stick on. Even when it comes to special occasions, everyone just wears a clear lip gloss. I think a little lip color really enhances your natural features and makes you look radiant. It brings life to your face. It doesn't always have to be so dark.  A rose lipstick is now part of my daily makeup routine along with mascara and eyeliner. When I do a full face of makeup, for more of a night time look, I love to go for a bold berry lip. Here are some of my current favorite lippies.

 

These are currently in my everyday makeup bag. I'm usually rushing out the door and don't have time to choose which shade of lipstick I want to wear or touch up. Sugar Rose if my favorite lip balm for the horrible cold weather that dries and chaps my lips. I like the L'Oreal Caresse for an everyday subtle look. When I want to add some "umph" to my look I reach for my Chanel lipstick!

These are my most recent favorites. The Pixi tinted lip balm beats all others like it. This color is beautiful for Fall and it stays on for at least 8hrs a day without drying out the lips. 

When it comes to lip glosses one thing that I cannot stand is when your hair gets stuck to your lips. Loose hair strands drag the lip gloss across your face and then your left with an unwanted shiny cheek. It's so annoying. I found these three babies didn't give me that problem. Currently obsessed!

Many of you beauties out there have requested to see my current favorite lip products at the moment and here they are.  I hope this helped some of you who are in the market for a new balm, gloss, or lipstick. I'm on my bf's laptop at his house while he's watching the Bears game hee hee.I should probably get off the computer now... Cowgirl Boots! Ft. RetroCity Sunglasses

Leather/Faux Leather is an essential fabric to your Fall fashion wardrobe. It is very warm, stylish, edgy, yet sophisticated, depending on how you pair it. Many of us want to match our leather accessories to the same color, but sometimes we can over do it. Try and balance it out by pairing two different colors of leather. The trick for me is the hardware. I just make sure it all matches, either all bronze, gold, or silver.

I recently purchased these boots and I love them! What sold me was the cute tassel on the sides. It also matches this really laid back cross body purse. (My new favorite style of purses).  I love the color of it! I was originally going to buy the cowgirl boots from Target, but they sold out everywhere, even online! They were on my wish list for a long time. About a month later my bestie Ashley and I found them at Kmart in a better color too. Wooo hoo! 

These cute aviator sunglasses are from RetroCity Sunglasses.com. The company sent them to me to share with you. (I have a giveaway on my YouTube channel MissBel01xox) The Ombre effect on the front compliments my skin tone and hair color. Quick tip: Because my hair is black the brown glasses contrasts it and stands out.  I think they bring my whole outfit together!

Fall Wish List - Part II

At the very beginning of the season, I posted a wish list and crossed my fingers I could get my hands on the items I wanted. I only had luck with two pair of boots from my wish list. Originally I wanted four of them hee hee. I guess 2 out of 4 is good. Now my list is getting bigger, but I have my reasons! I promise! 

Ever since I saw Heart wearing these cute heels from JustFab ($39.99) I couldn't stop thinking of so many different ways to pair them with outfits. I love the contrast between the black and gold, they also match the purse I recently bought from Marshalls.

Mint is defiently one of my favorite colors since spring. I'll still wear it in the fall and studs have been so trendy lately. I love big comfortable sweaters for Autumn. I think the spikes on the shoulders are the perfect touch on the oversized sweater from ROMWE Fashion ($46.99).

My poor little computer has gone through so much and has been giving me trouble lately. (Hint the lack of videos uploaded lately) It's hard to edit. My new investment will definitely be a Mac laptop next ;)

I know I have more than enough makeup, BUT as a beauty enthusiast I love it and want to try out products to share with you. I also do my friends makeup, so it doesn't go to waste. I like to see what works and what doesn't. The new Marilyn Monroe line at MAC is limited edition and I would love to add a Hollywood icon inspired blush to my collection ($22.00).

Like I have mentioned before, crossbody satchels/bags have been so popular lately. That's what I reach for mostly. I have different styles but I don't have a purse with silver hardware that match my cute grey boots. It has happened many times when I have to change what I'm wearing because the hardware doesn't match the rest of my outfit. I have been lusting over this Rebecca Minkoff mini mac ($195.00) for quite a while now. Hopefully within the next two months this little baby will make it to my inspiration rack.

Last but not least on my wish list is Heart's full outfit. She is one of the main beauties who really inspire my wardrobe. I just love her style it's always so girly and comfortable. She mentioned the sweater is from Forever21 and her boots are from Daily look. With my luck I haven't found either. Make sure to check out her YouTube channel ThatsHeart which I'm sure you have all subscribed to already. May I add I'm a bit obsessed with her Instagram pictures! They are all so bright and colorful :D

Keep Calm and Wear Bows

Bows are classic and feminine. They will forever be one of my favorite embellishments to my wardrobe, whether it be worn on my hair, outfit, wallet, wrist, or in my tummy lol. Here are some of my favorite pictures that I picked along the way while browsing for inspiration.

My Style: Fav Booties and Crossbody Bag

Crossbody bags/satchels and Boots have been my most reached for fashion items since the season started.

I have been noticing that I more often reach for a cross-body bag than a large purse. I still love large purses (you can fit anything in them!), but I think it's less of a hassle when you don't have to carry something heavy on your arms or shoulders. They're definitely starting to trend because I see cuter satchels and cross-body bags than regular purses at times. I'm not gonna lie I, when I was really young, I thought they were only for old ladies. I guess I'm an old lady now, because my collection is getting bigger. I am still on a hunt for the perfect pale grey satchel, with silver hardware, and a silver chain strap.

If I could live in boots for the rest of my life I would. Anything from rider, ankle, thigh-high, knee, or even rain boots, I love them all. (During Summer I'm already stocking up on them for Fall hee hee.) That probably has to be one of my favorite things about the colder weather.

I'm also wearing this gorgeous lip color that came in MyGlam/ipsy bag for the month of October. I can't stop raving how much I love it! It's so opaque and creamy, but not sticky. I wore it in the afternoon and it stayed on, without chapping my lips, all day until night time. It's not a sample size, it was full size. I definitely got my money's worth this month, because it originally retails for $35!

I would love to hear what you though of your Glam Bag/ipsy bag this month and what you are mostly reaching for in your closet this season. Gotta get ready for brunch and shopping with some girlfriends. I haven't even changed from my pj's ahhh.

I Feel Special

Today at work on of my favorite customers gave me a really sweet bracelet. She travels around the world and always brings me back a little souvenir. She has such and interesting lifestyle. I am always so excited to hear her adventures. She made me feel so special today, when she surprised me with this gorgeous pink bracelet! She said she instantly thought of me when she saw the pink one. Awww!

There are different names for these types of bracelets. I have mostly known them as  Disco Bead Wrap Bracelets. I have wanted one for a very long time, and now it's ten times more significant!

How I spent my... weekend!

1.) At the Chicago Marathon waiting to cheer on my bf's Dad and Brother [they did it in less than 4hrs.] 2.) Relaxed reading September's issue of Elle Magazine. 3.) Got some goodies from Bath and Body Works which motivated me to re-organize my bathroom. 4.) Went shopping with my favorite lady (My bf's mom). Love her!!!

Swap on Youtube

What is a "Swap" on Youtube?

A Swap on YouTube, is when two beauty gurus on YouTube, set a spending budget  to buy each other goodies, and ship them out without letting each other know what they got for one another. It's suppose to be a surprise. Once they receive the package they open it while recording to see their first reaction to everything. It's almost like a secret Santa or grab bag without needing to be Christmas. It's just as much fun to see what they received as it is for them to open it. 

The purpose of the video is to entertain as well as to collaborate by making a video that will hold the viewers attention and watch the other guru's video to see what they got too.

I use to watch these all the time and always thought about what I would get someone if I did a swap. I love to see their first initial reaction! I'm so glad Melanie and I decided to do one. We are such good friends and have been for a really long time.

  Shopping was hard for me because whenever I picked something out for her I wanted one for myself too. I knew if I loved it she would too. 

 I wrapped everything individually for fun, to look presentable, and also to protect through the shipping process. Those guys just through everything around.

 I made this card for Melanie from scratch. Yeah.. I'm a granny I love art, crafts, and scrapbooking hee hee, but it does come in handy!

 I also gave her a little guide to make unwrapping fun!

 Melanie teased me on Instagram by posting this picture up before she shipped it out to me! I was ten times more excited when she did!

I love how she wrapped everything!!! It's PINK! It was so cute and thoughtful! She put cute little clues that rhymed on every item. She really spoiled me! 

I can't believe she got me all of these things. She really loves me :D I feel so special!  This was so much fun! Everything is so new to me and I can't wait to play with it all. You will be seeing a lot more tutorials coming soon lol. If you are doing a swap in the future I hope this helped. It's past my bed time but I couldn't go to sleep without posting this up.
