How To Style: Combat Boots ft. Pink and Pepper

Combat boots have been very popular lately! They are no longer only described as the rebel shoe. Combat boots can fit in any fashion category. It was a challenge for me to style them with the girly wardrobe I have. Fashion is about making a statement, expressing yourself without words, and it's always okay to step out of our comfort zone. You never know if you'll love it until you try it!

As 2013 Miss Pink I would love to share four looks wearing these cute combat boots.

At the beginning of this year I entered a contest hosted by Pink and Pepper to be brand ambassador for the year 2013. I along with Julie Khuu were the chosen winners. It was the most exciting thing! The graphic announcement made it even better. You guys know my unhealthy obsession with the color pink. Can you imagine how happy I am to be "Miss Pink"? Every month I get the privilege to choose a pair of shoes of my choice, and I need your help! I would love to hear your feedback! Let me know if there's a shoe you would like for me to style. Feel free to hop on over to their website and browse through their shoes.

Military Jacket (JCPenny) | Love Graphic Shirt (Delia's) | Highwaisted Stud Short (DIY) | Sheer Tights (Target)

White Pom Beanie (Marshalls) Sweater (Macy's) | Highwaisted Stud Short (DIY) | Sheer Tights (Target)

Peplum Faux Leather Jacket (Forever21) | Chanel Logo Inspired Shirt (Etsy) | Black Jeggings (Carson's)

White Pom Beanie (Marshalls) | Long Denim Shirt (Romwe.com)  | White Cami (Express) | Black Jeggings (Carson's)

It's been a great start to the year 2013! Thank you for all of your support. I'm excited what the rest of this year will bring. It's 2am but I couldn't wait to share this with you. Off to be I go.

Tiffany Blue

Flowers Walmart | Snake Skin Tray Ross |  Candle Walmart | Babylips Target | Steve Madden Satchel

I did a little shopping and I noticed I have become obsessed with this gorgeous color. Tiffany blue, Mint, and Turquoise, have become the trendy colors this past year and will carry on for a much longer time. I have noticed that it catches my eye just as much as the color pink. You know it's serious when that happens. My boyfriend describes my love for pink, like a cat when it sees a shiny object. I immediately draw my complete attention towards these two colors. I don't even want to burn the candle. I'm thinking of incorporating this beautiful color into my home decor.

Can't wait to style this beauty!

Sweet Surprise!

One of my best friends on YouTube, Rhonda aka Dotlash, surprised me with a box full of goodies as a Holiday gift. Ahhh!! I loved everything. Her personal letter just about made me cry. Without Rhonda, 2012 wouldn't have been one of the most amazing years of my life. She is the sweetest thing ever and she is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

The way everything was wrapped was too cute for words! I didn't want to ruin the way she packaged them. My two favorite colors are pink and turquoise/mint.  Her sister, who works at Vix Paula Hermanny, also sent me a very touching letter and presents, along with a catalog that she wrote!

She made everything so personal and included little notes to each item. Everything described me so well. She went above and beyond! She gave me my very first Dior nail polish in my favorite color pink. She made the picture frame, which is actually a mini chalk board to write notes on. How cool is that?!? I freaked out! You spoil me Rhonda.

I just loved everything! I feel very blessed to have supportive people in my life like Rhonda. She has made YouTube a wonder experience for me and we can't wait to go to IMATS together in the summer! Since we are both partners with Style Haul we are so excited to attend the party they host every year as well.

Make sure to check out her Youtube channel as well as her blog! I am so obsessed with her blog.

I Gave In!

Meet the newest addition to my wallet family. I have been lusting over this baby since July of last year. I was going to buy it for myself for my birthday but decided not to for a while. But, once I started getting more into small crossbody bags it made me want it more. Ever since I purchased my everyday purse, Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac,  I needed a smaller wallet in order to be able to fit more necessities. I finally gave in a couple days ago, and I think it was so worth it. It's my very first Tory Burch purchase.  It's amazing quality and it's the most beautiful color in the world! PINK! At least in my opinion hee hee. We work hard for our money and deserve to treat ourselves once in a while.

A couple days ago, as I was walking past the nail polish isle at Target and this little baby caught my eye. That doesn't happen very often just walking by with nail polish, so I had to get it. It has beautiful microscopic shimmers which make the color a bit brighter. I don't like dull greys, they make your hands look dead.  I wanted to amplify those little shimmers. I added silver sparkles, Milani Jewel FX Silver and Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty, to the left edges of my nails. I really like how it turned out :)

Time to shoot a video! I'm thinking... "How I clean my makeup brushes". Before I do, I'm going to eat lunch I'm super hungry!

Much love,
Belinda Selene

How Much Does My Daily Beauty Routine Cost?

I was on Instagram as I always am, what's new, as I was browsing through hash tags on Benefit cosmetics I came across a blogger who had a post on how much her daily beauty routine cost. I clicked on her profile and found her blog. Stephanie mentions in her blog that if all of her makeup was gone, would she be willing to spend the money in one trip to replace it. I asked myself that same question, and ask you the same. I was very curious if I would. Well, let's find out together. These are the products I mainly use on a daily basis.

Face Products

I consider both of these Holy grail items as part of my beauty products, because without them my face would be covered with dry acne. It helps keep my acne well under control. My family inherits rosacea which is a severe acne condition.

 CHEEK PRODUCTS

I only use the bronzer on the E.L.F. due, the blush is too light on my skin tone. I love to use the powder brush by Sigma for my bronzer and not the whole face. F.I.Y. I will buy the Coralista blush as soon as I run out. Best blush ever!!! I don't even need a highlighter with this blush.

Eye Products

I got the eyeliner from my October Ipsy/My Glam Bag and I love it so much! Have you subscribed yet?

EYEBROW PRODUCTS

LIP PRODUCTS

I always use a balm/chapstick before and after I apply any other lip product. The balm doesn't really count. It was a sample given to me on my birthday from Sephora. Since I am a "Beauty Insider" it was a  free gift and anyone can join ;) but I guess I put the price if I wanted to replace it.

Drum roll please.....are you ready? I don't know if I am since I just googled all the links to see the prices. I had no clue how much some of these were. Okay here it goes....wait let me get my calculator.

Total: $341.08

Ahhhhh are you serious?!? Yikes! My answer heckie no! I would not replace all of them. I would substitute or go without wearing makeup for about month. Though the total is flabbergasting, I can honestly say I paid for about 50% or less for all of them. They were mainly gifts from people close to me who spoil me rotten. They know my obsession with makeup and it's my hobby to talk about it.

The products I would run in a heart beat to replace would be:

Cetaphil Mousturizer
Biore Acne Cleanser
Mac Consealer
E.LF. Duo
Be a Bombshell Eyeliner
L'Oreal Mascara
Benefit Coralista Blush
Revlon Balm Stain
The other products are just little luxuries to have. I love all of these products, they are amazing, but I wouldn't be able to afford them all in one trip. How much does your daily beauty routine cost? I would love to know tweet, Facebook, or Instagram me a picture of your daily products. I'm always looking for a great purchase. Gotta get dressed, I'm in my pj's, for a double tonight.

Much love,
Belinda Selene

Styling Winter Sweaters

Stand Out!

It's Winter time! Most of us find it hard to look cute under all of those layers of clothing. If you live in the Northern states like I do then  most of your wardrobe consists of unflattering boring sweaters. These are some of the most unique sweaters I have came across. I am so in love with them, especially with the small details. Stand apart from your friends and show them your personality in your outfit. For example lace adds a touch of femininity without exposing skin and staying warm. Spikes on the shoulders add a chic and rocker look while wearing a bright fun color. Let's play dress up in my closet, I want to show you how I style them.

Sweater $32 | Necklace (JcPenney) $12 | Sweater Thights (Marshalls) $7 | Booties (Target) $35

Sweater  $46.99 | Grey Pants (JcPenney) $10 | Hamilton Micheal Kors Boots $265 | Gold Rose Bracelet $18 | Mint Chain Bracelet (DIY) | Bcbgeneration Bracelet (Macy's) $18

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE ACCESSORIES!

If you have a plane Jane sweater spice it up with bold accessories, enhance the details. Most of the time outfits are just not complete without accessories that make that one simple top stand out. I also love adding a bright lip. Don't be afraid to experiment, after all the world is your runway. You never now who you may have inspired ;)

Sweater $25 | Jeggings (Mashalls) $12 | Rampage Boots (Macy's) $65 | Quilted Handbag $32.99 | Silver Cross Bracelet $20 | Red Bangles (WetSeal) $5 | Black Thick Chain Bracelet $18| Sephora Rouge The Red 04 Lipstick $12

Sweater (American Eagle) $24 | Black Bubble Necklace $24 | Thermal Tights (TJMaxx) $7 | Leg Warmers (Hollister) $24 | Rampage Boots (Macy's) $65 | Nars Schiap Lipstick $24

Send me a picture of your favorite Winter outfit on my Facebook, Twitter, or Hash Tag me under #BelindaSelene on Instagram. I would love to see them!

Much Love,
Belinda Selene

Ice Skating in the City

I think Ice Skating is on everyone's bucket list for the year. Through out the whole Winter season one of the main things I always wish for is a day of Ice Skating. It's hard to find things to do in this freezing Chicago weather, but you can always count on the city's annual festivities and events.

I have always been ice skating indoors during Chicago's Winter Wonder Fest, but I have never experienced it outdoors before. My girlfriend Alex and her hubby Leo invited us to go on fun date Downtown. It was a cold yet beautiful day surrounded by the luminous skyscrapers and decorations.

I'm glad Alex held on to me most of the time, while the boys showed off their moves, I'm not quite the professional yet. Thank you Alex!

Alex and Leo took us to one of their favorite places to grab a quick bite when they are in the city. We went to Noodles & Company. Ahhh the food was fantastic and the customer service was very nice too. I am a pasta lover! It reminded me of Panera Bread.

Afterwards we all went to Ricardo's and watched Thor. I was exhausted from an exciting day and fell asleep on the warm comfortable couch and unfortunately didn't see the movie ha ha. Our next date, Alex and I, will be to watch Les Miserables in Theaters. Have you guys seen it? Did you love it?

Time for me to go to sleep it's late! Ginger looks so cozy on the bed and I want to join in. One more thing to cross of my bucket list, to ice skate with the love of my life, outside in the beautiful city of Chicago, in the snow. Good night loves!

Much Love,
Belinda Selene

The boys were sweet enough to get us hot chocolate while we waited in line.

How To Curl Hair Extensions - www.VPFashion.com Review

I recently got hair extensions for extra umphh and volume. A girl can never have too much hair...like ever. Mine are from www.VPFashion.com. I am so in love with them. When I first recieved them for a second I thought they were made out of synthetic hair due to how extremely soft they were. I had to double check they were not other wise I couldn't style them with hot tools. Luckily they were not! Yay!!!

I only wear two, that's how much hair comes in one clip, out of the eight clips it comes in. I found this is the prettiest, easiest, and most wearable way to style them.

They look so natural I am in love!!!

In the pictures below I am wearing all eight of the clips ins.

Here are some #Selfies from my phone  ;)

You can purchase the same hair extensions here at www.VPFashion.com
Length: 22inch
Hair Style: Straight
Color: #2 Darkest Brown

The curler I use is by Flat Iron Experts. This baby is one of the best hot tools I own!

I hope this helped you out it's 3:18am oh my goodness! I should be asleep but I was too excited and needed to post this. I actually just came back from an adventurous day with one of Ricardo's and I best friends Leo and Alex. We went Ice skating and eat at a scrumptious little restaurant. I'll post about soon. I so exhausted when I got home took a small nap and now I'm wide awake hee hee. Muah!!!

Much Love,
Belinda
